         PANEER MAKHANI RECIPE

Preparation time : 40 minutes

Serves 3

Ingredients for paneer makhani :

Tomato 250 grams 
Green chillies 5-6 pcs 
Dried red chilli 2 pcs
Kashmiri red chilli powder 1 tbsp
Ginger garlic paste 2 tsp
Cottage cheese (paneer) 250 grams 
Crushed Fenugreek leaves 1 tsp
Garam masala powder 1 tsp 
Butter 100 grams
Oil 1 tbsp 
Sugar 2 tsp 
Cashew nuts 1/2 CUP 
Cardamom 2 pcs
Cinnamon 2 pcs
Fresh cream 2 tbsp
Coriander leaves finely chopped (for garnishing) 

Paneer butter masala recipe in english :


  • Heat 1 tbsp butter in a pan and add chopped tomatoes , cinnamon , cardamom , whole red chilli , cashew nuts and green chillies.
  • Cinnamon and cardamom will give major taste to your gravy so it is very important. You should must add.
  • Cook it for 15 minutes and then make a fine paste of it with the help of a grinder.

Tomato puree


  • Now again heat a pan and add 1 tbsp butter and 1 tsp oil into a pan. 
  • Add ginger garlic paste , slit green chillies and 1 tbsp kashmiri red chilli powder into it. Saute it for a minute.
  • Then pour the tomato puree which we had made , stir well.
  • Add cottage cheese (cut in small cubes of 3 inch diamention). 
  • Add the most important thing salt as per your taste. 
  • Cook and stir it continuously at medium flame for 10 minutes. 
  • Add crushed fenugreek leaves , garam masala powder and sugar as in given proportions and mix well. 
  • Add fresh cream and put off the gas flame immediately other wise your cream get cuddle. 
  • Your paneer makhani recipe in english is ready.
