Do you know how and of what elements our human body is made ?
Our human body is made up of five elements. Fire, water, earth, air and sun, and this five elements are the foundation of our life. Not all human beings have the same tendency. This is because, some qualities (GUNAS) and avagans (AVGUNAS) are found in all humans, and our Hindu texts mainly mention three qualities. Tamas, Rajas and Sattva.Bhagavad Gita |
Laziness, anger and feeling of revenge in any person and indifference and misconception in the mind of a person are indicative of Tamas' qualities. Tamas limits our knowledge.
Jealousy, malice, hatred, fear and arrogance in a person's mind reflect the qualities of Rajas. It is natural for a person nurtured by Rajas' qualities to be selfish. Rajas is also an indicator of excessive strength.
Sattva means satisfaction or satisfaction in one's mind. A person full of sattva qualities has great enthusiasm and concentration. A person full of Sattva qualities has the feeling of ultimate bliss and the feeling of God. A person is free from all kinds of diseases.
These qualities are divided into tamasic, rajasic and satvic in our diet or our living.
Meat, fish and other non-vegetarian food or stale food are included in Tamasic food. Tamasic foods are not for humans.
Rajasic food includes foods with excessive oil and spices. It is also called the food of Kings. They used to go for wars , battles , clashes , clans and they did lot of physical works and yog asana , that's why they needed a lot of energy which comes from the food. And that was the reason of eating a lot of food which would easily get digested.
Satvik food includes fruits, green vegetables, fruit juice, whole grains (rice, oatmeal) and soups made of veggies. It is not cooked at all in oil or spice. It is always pure and fresh.

Advantages of sattvic food :
Do you know ? You can avoid many diseases by just changing your food and you can cure many diseases from the root. The work that big medicines and syrups cannot do, you can do it only by changing your food. If you are ill and take medicines, then there may be the side effects of those medicines which will force you to take medicines again.Medicines |
Just think, you cook and eat poor innocent animals everyday without wasting any time. God has sent them as well and they too have a soul. You kill and cook them and eat them, but then they come in front of you as a curse. You start having many diseases, blood pressure, diabetes, thyroid and other problems. It is clearly written in our Hindu texts that we should not kill any innocent animal and should take a satvic diet. So why should not we be determined from now on that we will never take meat. I would be very proud of myself if I could make any one of you aware of this truth if I can help you in any wat to get rid of disease
Just think how much oil, how many spices are we putting in our daily, which are going to harm us later.
Try not to eat anything one day, do not take any grains and just take some fruits, fruit juice and green vegetables and on the next day take oily and spicy food, you will see the difference yourself.
The day you take a sattvik diet, peace and calm will be there in your mind and your food will get digested easily. On the other hand, when you take Rajasic diet, it will take too long to digest it. Yes, I know, you will have some trouble in starting.You will feel hungry, and you will not be able to live without grains, but gradually you will get used to it and you will also feel its benefits.
We should always take the food that nature has given us, Mother Earth has given us. Fruits, green vegetables, whole grains etc. All these foods are digestible and beneficial. The fruit takes 2 to 3 hours to digest, while the rice takes 7 to 8 hours to digest. So just think how much food we put everyday in our stomach. And the food then starts decaying. It then makes toxins which causes many diseases such as, obesity, constipation, sugar etc.

A phrase is spoken at our home, "eat less and be happy". And I would also like to tell you, the less food you take, the more you will stay away from diseases.
In today's time, you remain closed in your homes, neither do yoga, exercise, nor do any kind of physical work so that your food can be digested. And you eat a heavy meal. Just, think of it.
In today's time, we only emphasize on mental labor, which strengthens our intellect but not body. And when the body itself is not strong then how can the mind be strong? Therefore, we should pay attention to mental as well as physical exertion.
We have only and only benefit from satvik diet and we do not have any kind of harm from it. This is because you can never face any kind of problem with this diet. You will always be happy and focused.
How to have satvik diet?
Satvik diet is not just a diet, it's a lifestyle. This is the lifestyle of all yogis, and healthy people. Therefore, I will tell you in order how you should adopt this lifestyle.
First of all, drink 1 litre of luke warm water after waking up in the morning or you can take it whenever you feel thirsty. Water flushes away the toxins from your body. Do not drink water just after the meal , drink it after 1 or more hours of meal. If you drink water just after the meal , it make your food complex to digest because our stomach will not be able to break down that food easily.
You do not have to take any diet for 3 to 4 hours after waking up and you should not have drink tea. Tea spoils your health and forces you to depend on it.
After 3 to 4 hours, take some fruits of your choice in your diet (apple, banana, orange, grape, guava, papaya, coconut water, cucumber, carrot, pear, pineapple, watermelon, melon, mango, etc.). Do not take grains right now because it is difficult to digest grains in the morning. Take as much juicy and watery fruits as you can. Do you know our contains 70℅ water only and to maintain this proportion you should to take much watery fruits in your diet like melon , cucumber , orange , coconut water.
After this, you do not have to eat anything for 2 to 3 hours. Do not eat stale foods , always prepare fresh meal and have it within three or maximum 5 hours after making. After 5 hours all the nutrients of cooked foods get lost.

After 2 to 3 hours you can take cereals (oatmeal, brown rice, whole grain flour) and green vegetables (pointed guard, okra, capsicum, beans, peas, green cabbage, pumpkin, broccoli, bitter gourd, Etc.) in your meal. And also have some salad. Read full article to know how to cook satvik food :)
After lunch you have to take your meal after 5 to 6 hours. You should have your meal before 7 pm. You should not eat anything after 7 o'clock because the sun god sets up after 7 o'clock and so the fire of our stomach also extinguishes, which makes it difficult to digest food. So I recommend that you have your meal before 7 pm.
You don't have to eat anything after the last meal of the night. If you want, you can have a glass of cured cow's warm milk before sleeping.
Take mostly vegetables in the evening meal and do not take too much grains. You can also make vegetable soup or you can make vegetable khichdi and porridge. In the same way, you have to eat your daily food and if you see the difference please feel free to tell me :)
How to make satvik food?
It is very easy to make sattvic food, just you have to keep some things in mind and you should have follow it.
To make satvik food, you should use only earthen(clay) pot. You will find earthen utensils at any pitcher shop. Cooking food in an earthen pot gives full flavor to the food and makes the food nutritious. Cooking in an aluminium vessel eliminates all its nutritional properties. Aluminium absorbs all the nutrients food the food. If you have trouble getting clay pots then you can also make it in steel pots.

The most important thing, you have to remove common salt and sugar from your living. Use rock salt and jaggery instead. Just think of the process that sugarcane and seasalt goes through to make salt and sugar and how many chemicals must be used to make it taste better. And we eat this sugar and salt thinking as nutritious. That is why you have to use rock salt (sendha namak) and jaggery because it has been given to us directly by nature. If you want, you can use brown sugar or jaggery powder instead of jaggery. You will find all these anywhere in the markets.

You do not even have to use oil in your food. Remove all the oil from your house as soon and use coconut kernel instead. Coconut kernel has its own oil which we have given by nature. You can grind this coconut kernel and pour it over your food. Believe me, you will never feel that you are cooking any vegetable without oil. You will get full taste of all the vegetables which you could not get due to excess oil in it.

And at last, I would like to tell you that you should not have to add spices in your vegetables as much as possible. Instead of red chilli, use green chilli or black pepper, instead of coriander powder, use fresh coriander leaves.
Not just eat sattvic , you should also live a satvic lifestyle. You should to do yogasana (yoga) in the morning. Some of the yogasans are kapal bhati , anulom vilom etc. This yogs not only keeps you peaceful but also cures you inside. Try to be a part of nature , also obey and respect our nature. They too have life , we are just a guest in this large world but they are the supreme. Try not to hurt our nature. Today we are going through the hard times because of covid-19 and this is the return gift of the nature. We human's are fully responsible behind this.
Try to plant a tree , they will give you fruits to live sattvic :)

Nice content, but it's difficult and little expensive to follow.
ReplyDeleteNo eating less and healthy is not expensive..The society is getting fooled by all those tactics of marketers. Doing proper exercise , yoga and eating fresh foods like green chillies instead of red chilly powder , coriander leaves instead of coriander powder. But you have to only invest a little on salt and sugar only for the betterment of your health. You're not just expending , you're you're investing these money for your health. Normal sugar costs you ₹40 p/kg and salt 20 p/kg but its pure form such as jaggery costs you ₹70 p/kg and rock salt ₹70 p/kg..
